About Me

I know there are dog crazy people out there like me. I see you on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I read your blogs. I run into you in the pet stores. I see you walking your pups.

What is it about dogs that make them so endearing to us humans? Could it be that soft, fluffy or curly fur? Is it those focused and adoring eyes when you talk to them? Is it that unconditional love and adoration they project? Is it the cute way they curl up when they sleep or the way they scoot as close as possible when you are watching tv? Yes, yes, yes and yes.  It is all those things and more.

I don't think it's a coincidence that dog is God spelled backwards. Dogs understand and give unconditional love and are very simplistic creatures. Dogs can teach us so much about life and ourselves.

I sometimes think God put dogs on earth to be companions to those of us who have a hard time connecting to other people. I definitely connect to my dogs much better than I do most people. Dogs never have an agenda, they never judge what I am wearing or if I am fat or skinny, black or white, ugly or pretty. They could care less if I live in a nice neighborhood or have a college degree.

I am a wife, mom, nana and mom to five furries. I retired two years ago and have found my passion in caring for and blogging about my dogs. I'm sure this is not a surprise to anyone who knows me. My love of dogs began at a very early age. I only regret that I did not choose a career that involved dogs because now I know I would have loved every minute of it.

My days now revolve around my family and my dogs. I spend a ridiculous amount of time grooming, walking, cooking for, feeding, training and cuddling with my five. I'm sure people think I am wasting so much of my time, but I couldn't think of time better spent or more appreciated.

It's just a good thing my husband is as crazy about our dogs as I am. They travel with us, they vacation with us and fill our bed every night. Our lives pretty much revolve around the schnauzies and I wouldn't want it any other way. I can't imagine how boring my life would be without dogs.

  1. Lovely to read about your furbabies! I only have one..Lucy, 3 years old such a character, love her to bits. She goes everywhere with me (nearly) loves petbarn here in Australia as it's 'her' special shop. I'm not too sure who's boss some days, as Lucy lets me know what she want and if I get it wrong she tells me about it
    ..a funny little girl.
Life is much richer with my little schnauzer ♡
